I forgot my Master Password. What happens next?

How can I recover my account?

All of your sensitive data stored in SafePass is encrypted all the time. Even SafePass staff are never able to view any of the data you store in our system. The data you store in SafePass is only decrypted and visible for you once you login with your Master Password.

That’s why it is extremely important for you to remember your Master Password. In case you forget your master password there is very little that even SafePass can do to recover your data, since it’s encrypted and the only key to decrypt is your master password.

If you forgot your master password, you will need to reset your SafePass account.

To do that, click the “Forgot password” link in the SafePass login screen and follow the instructions to start over.

Note: After your account is reseted all your saved items will be lost.

I can't login to my PassCamp account

If you are sure you’re logging in to the correct system with the correct account, try typing your Master very carefully. The most common case of Master Password not working is when users make a mistake typing it. We strongly recommend checking if you’re entering the login credentials correctly – specially all the capital letters, numbers, symbols and language-specific letters. Since Master Password has stronger security requirements than common passwords, this usually solves the issue.

If you are still unable to login, you will need to reset your account.
